I have done a few 98 conversion to 2002 in the past few months. PM me and we can get you going.
You want to get a 2002 fbody pcm with the part number edding in 0411 If you have access to efi i can send you the file you will need flashed into it, or i can set you up with a pcm with the fuel segment already in it for your gauge to work properly.
Now if you want your 98 vin number on the 2002 pcm you will only be able to tune with EFI live.
HP tuners will not work because it uses the in and the os as part of its licencing scheme.
EFI uses other variables.

I tune with HP tuners, I don't have EFI live. I will talk to HP tuners and get whatever I need to worked out.
I am aware that i'll have to change the pins on to get the 98 to work with any newer PCM.
I have a 2001 sitting here in my other trans am that i may use, but in a few months it'll be on the road also. so i'll need another ECM for it. (already have it licensed with HP tuners)
