Piece from 1999 trans am. This piece is what allows the seat to adjust back and forward. Its an easy off item you just remove the spring and it comes out, I have some pictures if you need them for refrence. This is off the passenger seat but I also believe it is the same for the drivers side. Pictures below *note this piece is broke from the handle side as you can see it is seperated in the picture.

You can probably fix that yourself with a trip to home depot or lowes. Just need some wire about the same size and run it from the two points where the original connected and make sure it has the same length so it can release the other lever when you hit the main release. Make sure both sides are on the same track before you replace the seat back in the car.
