Default piston pin retainer

Wtb!!! 1 piston pin "spiro lock" for a stock floating pin piston (5.3). I just need 1 or an idea where to get one without spending $70 for a new piston at the gm garage.

You can get just the clip at your dealer.

Yeah its a little expensive, it comes with 2 clips, pin, and piston. All for $70
unless you have a p/n for just the clip, those people couldn't find it.

Call Mahle up. They probably have the right size C-clip. Which motors used spiro-locks, the last two I pulled apart used c-clips.

no they were c-clips. When I went searching for words to use, spiro lock was the only word coming up.

Well here is what I found: 12569638 and 97226136. You can verify the part numbers by looking at the engine schematics at "Nalley GMC Parts" (google it).
