car craft mag has a good write up on stock cams. I bet that a stock
ls2 cam would be great. GL with it.

For future reference the Ls2 cam is a good upgrade, but requires changing to a front cam sensor. This usually drives the cost up to where it's cheaper to just go ahead and get a Ls6 cam.

I might be wrong, but I'm thinking the 01-02 Ls1 cam has the same specs as a truck cam. 98-00 had a touch bigger in the Ls1.

4.8/5.3 cam is 191/190 457/466. '01-up 5.7/6.0 cam is 196/207 467/479, and worth up to/as much as 30 HP.
