Cheaper than 90/92 and still utilize the factory 78mm throttle body.

Plus the base/runners are the same 78/90/92

Stock TB is more than adequate to handle 500hp so in NA applications it is a good swap

Was not aware of that, thank you!

Seems like everyone with a FAST intake wants $600+, but I can see the value here. Question is, with LS6 intakes going around $350, is it worth the difference?

Depends on the budget you have

The fast intake for the most part has been a popular thing to do once you do heads/cam/full exhaust etc.. Basically a max effort NA build

I would score a used 78 if you can, best bargain. Sell your ls1/ls6 to offset the cost
