One of my stock lifters is tapping and I need to replace it. When I rebuilt the engine a few months ago I changed to some newer lifters (less miles). I threw mine away thinking I would never need them. Now I just need one. Maybe 2 - I need to visually inspect them. Although I'm not quite sure of any signs that would tip you off that they are having problems. But if I'm going to pull the head and buy the bolts then I might as well change any that might be bad. If anyone has any it would be helpful. I asked some local racers but they all did like me and if they made a change they threw their stock ones away.
