A used Edit cable is locked to a VIN# so you'll have to get it updated from carputing to work on your car. They'll probably want $$ unless they have changed the way they do business.

Ls1 edit software is also broken up into year ranges and he hardware is vin locked. There is software for 98, then 99-2000 and I believe 01/02. I think Ls1-edit charges around $150 to change the vin in the cable.

I will have LS1-edit and software for sale for a 99-2000 f-body soon. Software version is 1.5 which should still be the latest. Looking for $200.
