I have a new set on eekbay.
They are from a new 4.8 crate motor.
The GM part number is 12558693.
Auction number 7958263640.
They're also the same as 5.3 truck coils
if you're going bone yard hopping.

I have a pair of coil rail with 8 coils mounted off a 5.3 with the wiring harness attached. 2 hookups and some bolts and you'll have all 8 ready to fire. tell me what you'll give for 'em and we'll make a deal. PM me if your interested.

Hi Cody,
if you get the opportunity, can you check my info and confirm
that the 4.8 & 5.3 do have the same coils?
The part number is on the bottom of each coil.
If I'm right, your number should also be 12558693.
Picture of the part number location is at:

Thanks,
Mike

the part number on the 5.3 coils i have is different. but i have a different design coil than other since gm had a first and second design. mine is the round shaped coils where the newer ones are shaped like those you have. I'll have to do more research to be sure about fitment. I believe the truck was a 2000.

ok the coils on a 4.8 5.3 and 6.0 all show to be interchangeable from 99-02. I'm not sure why the numbers on mine are different and the shape is different than the ones from the 4.8 you have but as I said they are interchangable and should work without a problem or so says the parts catalogue.

Thanks Cody,
So much for my theory.
The connectors look to be the same for the entire LSx engine family.
Why they make so many different coils is beyond me.
