I'm currently installing full bolt-ons + CAM on my a4 z51 c6 (3.15 gears) and I know I'll be needing a torque converter to stay within the delicious part of the powerband.. It's a high duration / high lift cam so I'm expecting the power to start hittin at and after 3k rpm.

My mods are as follows:

1. Haltech Stinger CAI + Induciton option
2. LG's Pro Headers (no cats) + 3" X-Pipe
3. U/D 25% Pulley
4. LG's G5X3 CAM @ 114 LSA
5. Upgraded valvetrain componenets (pushrods, seals, retainers, etc..)
6. TransGo Shiftkit
7. B&M 24,000 TransCooler
8. Borla Stingers Cat-back

I carry out my own tuning using HP-Tuners and will be running the car on 255&295 BF Goodrich KDW2's (Gotta love that tread)... I've previously placed an order for a converter from Fuddle, whom have told me the converter was shipped on the 21st of last month.. Up until today, no converter & not even a tracking number..! Anyway, the order I've placed was for a 3800 with an STR of 2.4.. I'm still open for suggestions! Also wandering about how much truth there is about the Vigilante converters stalling higher than advertised just in case I go for one..

Ended up getting a vigilante 3500... Getting it installed in about a week or two... Any thoughts anyone on how that converter would perform with a G5X3 on 114 lsa..!?
