whats it been ported to? Never herd of people doing that to one, but I am new to the LS1

Porting the throttle body is very common. I have done the one on my TA and my vette. When they port them they cut the ridge out of the opening. If you look at yours you will see how right in front of the blade the opening is smaller than the blade. That is all cut out to it will flow the same as the blade opening.
