Exhaust leak causing bad O2's? Just curious if an exhaust leak would eat up O2's. I had a set go bad....replaced them and I think they may be bad again. I couldn't get my LTFT's to respond with ATAP the first time so I replaced my sensors and all was good. Now they're not responding again. It's only been 200 miles at most. would they go bad that soon? |
Re: Exhaust leak causing bad O2's? There isnt coolant leaking onto them is there? I read earlier that a guy had that same problem and coolant was messing them up. I only ask because you have a 422, so that might be an issue. |
Re: Exhaust leak causing bad O2's? How far down the pipe are your O2s located? Generally headers put the O2s in a cooler location, and they perform worse when cold (not to mention that any crud has less of a chance of being burned back off). |
Re: Exhaust leak causing bad O2's? They are in the collectors like on most headers. I don't think I'm leaking any coolant. The sensors are kinda sooty looking but I figured that could be normal. |
