can i use a 2000 ecm in a 98

hey guys i recently got a turdo kit off a buddy of mine and since his car (2000ws6) was all reddy tuned for it we were gona switch ecm but once i installed everything my car(98 z28) keeps blowing a pcm fuse ... is there any thing i can do to run this computer or do i need to just load that tune in my original computer :bang:

The 98 PCM is different. The 2000's PCM won't work. The easiest way to get it to work is to put a tune on your original pcm. Just don't try loading his tune on your though as there are some differences in the tables so that won't work either. Put your pcm in and then tune what was already on it.
