Need help on pcm
 

im swaping out my 00 4.8 to a 01 5.3 my problem is my buddy has hp tuners and i was wondering if i take a drive by wire pcm can i retune it with hpt to run a drive by cable i was researching on here and someone said a 03 can go either way im not sure if someone can help help me on this

If its an 01, why would it be DBW?
What's the service number on the PCM?

Just keep your stock pcm, there is no benefits of going with a newer pcm unless you want to try to use the flex fuel options.

If you have to buy a pcm, just get a red/blue 99-02 1/2 mb

no i wanna use my buddys hp tuners so i dont have to buy another license thats why im looking for a 03 bc he has 03-06 so i guess i just gotta buy the license to program the 01 pcm
