Something isn't right...

OK here is the Scenario. My buddy and I raced last night. Dead even from 50 mph rolls neither one of us could pull each other. I feel my car should put 1-2 cars on him from a roll but maybe not.Either way his car really fast but I think with my cam I should be a bit faster.
Here is his setup.
2002 Z28 6sp
ttop car and no power options, 16inch wheels
airlid, free mods, pacesetter headers, cutout and hotcam and nittos, stock tuning and stock gearing.

My car 2000 ws6 6sp 17 inch wheels
ls6 intake,lid,pulley, flp's,orp,cutout, MTI Stealth 2 cam 224/220 581/581 116, ls1edit,3.73 gears, ram clutch.

Now I haven't atapped my car since this cam,it's still running on an old tune from my tr224, I also have a blown header gasket, but could the blown header gasket cause me to lose a change in power?

What gives, could my tune be off that bad with the blown header gasket?

Anyone else think I should pull this car by quite a bit?

Any input is appreciated...

My car ran like crap until I replaced a blown header gasket - I suggest the GM gaskets.

i raced my friends ss from a stop his is auto and mine is manual....i spun bad and traction came on so i think thats what killed me. i have a lot more done than he does. he had 2 cars on me at the start and at 90 i was at his door and traction turned off after i was in 3rd. i left marks all the way to 3rd gear. could traction have come on and reduced engine power? maybe? is that possible? and if it is would it make that big of a difference?
