Default missfire on #2 and #7

OK, I'm logging this thing with HP tuners, and it's showing massive amounts of missfires on #2 and #7.

car runs like crap, and has an obvious miss. the check engine light is flashing (missfire).

Here is what I've done--- swapped plug, wire, and coil from #2 to #4 and the missfire stays at #2. So I'd say that those three items are OK (plugs looked about the same BTW). Before I plull the fuel rail and swap injectors, I'd like to see what you guys think.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The reason I posted here is that I was wondering if by some odd chance the #2 and #7 use the same injector driver circuit in the PCM

Its 4 and 7 are on the same circuit. I just went through this bullshit on a 06 GTO i had in my shop two weeks ago!

Check valvetrain, do a leak down/compression test. and check your cylinder misfires again.

Here is what I've found....

I moved the #2 and 7 injectors to #1 and 3. I lowered the missfire detection temp to 100. within 30 seconds of reaching temp, it picked up more than 40 missfires on #1 and 3. But it still picked up 5 on #7.

I guess new injectors are in order, but does anyone have any ideas about the 5 missfires still on the #7?

I'm having the same problems on my #4 cylinder, but while dealing with this issue I'm seeing that other cylinders also get misfire counts every now and then (but nowhere near the amount I'm getting on #4).

Some misfires here and there are ok and happen normally, so even though #7 is a good cylinder now, it still will get some misfires. But if the heavy misfires moved with the injectors to 1 and 3, then that's what your problem is.

OK, I'm Lost.

I bought a complete new set of injectors. once installed the missfires were still on #1 and 3. after driving (easily) for 10 min, the missfires moved to #1 and 7, then 10 min later they were back at #1 and 3, then back to 1 and 7 and finally #2 and 7 where they stayed. which by the way, is right where I started!
