Any difference from A/F ratio 12.2 to 12.7?
Hi, i have a 2001 WS6 A4 with bolts on and a small cam( 212/218). Right now my A/R ratio is set between 12.2 and 12.3 at WOT, i wanted to know what gains in rwhp and tq can i see if I increased to 12.7-12.8?
The car made 352rwhp and 355tq
I live at sea level.
And also wanted to know if it is SAFE to run at 12.7-12.8 since this is my DD car.

You wont see 20hp difference. Anywhere between 12.2 and 12.8 doesn't change much at all. I find a lot of A4's prefer around 12.2 so you can screw in more timing. Timing makes a far greater difference in power than a difference in AFR from 12.2-12.8

Sure it is 'safe' to run at 12.7-12.8 AFR. You just have to be more diligent at monitoring your timing and any knock as you start creeping up to 13.0 AFR.
I am with the majority of the other posters. The HP gain may not be that dramatic. You can either SOTP or dyno to find your own sweet spot. Sometimes these cars like that 12.2 12.5 range, others find a crisper acceleration going to 13.0.
Probably dependent on your overall cylinder pressure. You can gain that from timing or additional CR. I usually end up around 12.5-12.7 AFR. If you can get all that fuel to 'burn'..sounds like the recipe for power.
