Default How do I use my LC-1 using both HP Tuners and AFR gauge?

Being that there is only one 0-5v output on the lc-1, how do i run that to both hp tuners and to my afr gauge? Can I use a jumper wire or will running it to two things that way screw with the signal (or worse fry something)? Also, I will be using the yellow output to run it in place of the passenger front narrowband, so i can't use that and reconfigure the gauge.

Yes that would be the brown wire. I need to use that wire with hp tuners AND as the signal wire for my gauge though and was asking if using that wire for two devices would cause any problems.

I don't see how either, but some people were questioning whether the signal would lose resolution. My other worry ia that I would be adding another circuit in parallel thus decreasing the overall circuit resistance and running higher current. I'll probably just give it a try and see what happens.

You should be just fine using the wire to signal to the gauge and HPT. I was going to do that, but have been too lazy to put the gauge in.

the outputs on the yellow and brown are programable. use the lm programmer to change the yellow wire to 0v-5v. i ran the yellow wire to pin 55 (egr) on my 2001 computer. and it works perfect. if your laptop doesnt have a port for the serial cable from the lc1 buy the cheapest serial to usb you can find, it does not work with the more expensive ones, i found one for $15 and it worked perfect. look for usb 1.1 not usb 2.0

Thanks for the input guys. I actually just finished wiring it up with a jumper wire from the EIO harness for hp tuners to the input wire for the gauge. It works, but i'm not sure if it's accurate. I'm going to hook it up to the laptop and see if the gauge matches hp tuners and if they both match the up stream narrowband. I'll let you guys know what happens. Good news is nothing broke during the whole install (first time for everything).
