Swap PCM's ??

I am currently switching my 98 trans am from an A4 to an M6. My friend has a wrecked 98 M6 trans am and I would like to know if i could use his PCM in my car until mine gets back from being re-flashed. Both cars are basically stock besides his having full exhaust with a tune. Would there be any problems running my car this way for a couple of weeks??

No, it wouldn't be a problem.

What about VATS?

The f-car uses a 5 volt 50 hz square wave signal from the BCM to the PCM, so you will not have any vats issues with the swap.

The Trucks, and Corvette use the serial data vats, and require the vats relearn, or a long 10 minute on, 30 seconds off, repeat 3 times process to sync vats.

Cool. Wasn't aware how these models worked.
