Question how much gain with a hpp3

98 Z28 with the following mods
lid w k/n
bellows
gms maf
loudmouth cat back
egr mod
tb bypass mod
ram air mod
fan switch mod
nx 100 wet shot

I have stock programming now, How much of an increase will it give me? Is it worth getting untill I can afford to do the intake cam and headers all at the same time, then I will go with the ls1 edit. Will this be a smart purchase used for 200$ for now?

not needed, you will have problems with the maf, and the bottle.

the price of $200 is expensive, i bought mine fo r150 and sold for 160 both shipped prices.

buy hpp3's for concrete changes, not for "power tuning" as they are hit or miss.

With the GMAF you will be too lean you will need a custom tune. Predator or a software type (ls1edit,hptuners,etc).

Gain with HPP3 ... zero to minus 10 RWHP ... It's only good for gear changes, fan temp changes, tire size, and that's about it...

Because it's not a gauge, it's an idiot light w/a needle. You need to get an after market gauge to see the real temp.

99+ read 210 in the 186-228 operating range (numbers are approx, might be a few degrees off, going off the top of my head here)

I think the Predator would be a better choice.

We've had cars actually loose HP with the hypertech device. The car can't take the additional timing and the resulting KR causes a loss in HP.
