some people have told me that the car should run good even if it hasent been tuned, but other people have told me that if it is not tuned it will run like shit and crapy..... im wondering if it was tuned would it run better and idle better and everything else better?????/

When you say runs like crap, what is it doing. Does it not start properly? Is it backfiring? Is it dying at lights?

Your car may run like junk just because of the larger cam. In which case, tuning should take care of the problem. But if the car is backfiring and surging heavily, then it is most likely another problem (burnt wire etc...)

FWIW, check you plug wires and the wires about the headers. I can't tell you how many LT1's we've had come in for tuning and it is nothing but burnt wires.
