Knock sensor? LS2 block with LS1 computer
I have a LS2 block with a LS1 computer.
I want to have reliable knock senors on my new set-up.
Has anyone had any luck making knock sensors work in LS2 block with a LS1 computer?
I know that I have two options;
1) install the single wire LS1 sensors in the side of the LS2 block and wire into computer or,
2) install the two wire LS2 sensors into the side of the block, I understand that Racetronix make a harness to connect the two wire LS2 sensor into a LS1 computer, how do you program them to actually work?
Thanks, I have done searching with no answers yet.

The LS2 sensors will not work on a LS1 PCM.

Why would you say that, the 4.3 vortec motors use the 2 wire style knock sensors and the use the 12212156 OS on a 12200411 pcm, which is the same setup as a 2002 F-body LS1 In certian tuning programs you can switch the knock sensor type from resonant to flat response type.

I am planning on making the conversion to the LS2 style sensor with my LS1 PCM using the Racetronix conversion harness and EFI live.
http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.a...1-KSRH&eq=&Tp=
From EFI live it looks like I will have to select the Flat response type listed in the drop down and rewire the sensor wires from PIN 51 to PIN 09 and from PIN 11 to PIN 10. The racetrix harness grounds the second sensor wire to the block, so it looks like no additional wiring is required.
Has anyone done this and got it to work?
