what type of tune for a cam?
 
if i went with a majic stick 3 cam,.600/237/111sp/,do i have to change lifters also?i have a 525/236/110sp now.what type of tune would i need,(handheld or custom) i have no one around here that dose custom tunes around here.nearest place is 2 to 3 hrs away.

Alot of people don't change lifters when they swap in aftermarket cams into the lsx engines. Alot of people, including myself do change lifters. Its cheap insurance, a new set of gm replacement lifters is less than $150. You would most likely(depending on the springs you have now) need to change springs and you will need to measure for proper pushrod length.

Also, you would benefit much more from a custom tune with hp tuners, efi live, or a similar program. I cant speak much for the handheld tuners because I stay away from them. Good luck with your cam swap!
