Accel Gen7 John...most guys have had the FAST stuff already and are just awaiting the additional part. In John's case, he bought Sean Freese' old Camaro and it already had the FAST system, so he is just waiting for the part, and some other parts as well.

John, here's a link to Accel's catalog - DFI is right in front of catalog: http://mrgasket.com/pdf/DFI_cat.pdf

Fast is a little more simple to use, but it is true that the Accel has more features. If you go to a big professional race, you'll see most guys running Fast over Accel. It's all a personal preference thing, but I really like the Fast systems..

No I dont have it running yet. I have made a lot of improvments to the car,but now Im in the process of selling and buying a new house. So the SS kind of got set back awhile. Im still going to try to make a few races with the vette though. Thanks John.

Just FYI, we tried running the Accel system on a customer's car at SAM using a crank trigger, but we could never get it to work. We called Accel and it turns out they've also never gotten their system to work with a crank trigger on an LS1. So as of a few weeks ago (3 or 4), the Accel software will NOT work using a crank trigger on an LS1.

It did however work fine with the stock crank sensor, and made good power. As for which one is better, the Accel software did have a few useful features that the FAST software didn’t.

I talked to FAST and the Crank Signal Decoder box is going to be production in a few weeks. I will be getting one very soon.

If you want to run a MSD Crank Trigger with a FAST, I suggest you talk to Kurt Urban at W2W in Detroit. He's run several crank triggers with LS1 setups for a few years. You can PM on here, his name is '427' on the board.
