Default EfiLive PID questions.

Does anyone have a pid selection file that they wouldn't mind sharing with me to help narrow down some trans shifting issues? 99 camaro with 4l60e. I am told to log commanded gear specifically but it has an x through it in efilive and says it isn't valid. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Connect to vehicle and do Info->Validate Pids;

you may have to do File->Select Controller and File->Enter VIN also.

You also need to make sure you have the latest V7 software (from the downloads page on the efilive website).

just updated to v7.5.7 and now i cant find the commanded shift pid anywhere. it just disappeared. I don't have my cable with me to connect to the car, will be tomorrow before I can get it, do you think it will come back once connected to the vehicle?

If you installed the updates using the 'check for updates' feature in EFI live that likely caused the loss of certain PID's. They we're having trouble with this recently. It happened to me. I unistalled EFI live and reinstalled it from their website and that fixed it. Sounds like a lot of work but it uninstalls and reinstalls really easily. Good luck.

Yes, do not do "check for updates"...

instead, download/install the build 180 .exe.

When you connect to your vehicle, the pids will show up.
