Question for tuners regarding rpm limiter and gear selection (manual trans)
I have a 98 Camaro with a forged LS2 motor (originally LS1) and a 6 spd manual trans.
I have installed a rear mount STS turbo system on this car, and recently had a mail order tune sent out to get my car started and moving with a new and larger motor than it previously had.
What has happened now, is that ONLY in neutral and 2nd gear, i have a 3500rpm limiter, but i can rev to redline in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and likely 6th (tho i haven't tested it yet as the car isn't tuned)...
Do any of you have any thoughts on why only neutral and 2nd gear would be affected by an ECU limiter?
