Default Location of 02 Bung: Wideband

ANyone know about where to mount the 02 bung for a turbo'd vehicle?

I have read that mounting the bung on the pressure side of the turbo can cause the lambda readings of the wideband to be off and the high pressure and heat can damage the widebands 02 sensor.

So mounting it on the exhaust side of the turbo would be better, but then there would be more of a lag of reading to the wideband.

Keep in mind, for my application I am using the STS turbo so the turbo is all the way in the back.

Does anyone know if it would be ok to mount it on pressure side?

Or should I just stick to exhaust side?

Thanks

Default

As I understand it, the wideband sensor needs its
internal heater to "have authority" and if its bung is
on an orange-hot exhaust pipe it might well be unable
to maintain its thermal regulation.

The turbo might have some mechanical (intertial) lag
but I bet the time for exhaust gas to get by it is not
-that- much worse than a somewhat skinnier bit of
pipe; the gas just gets turbulated going around the
turbine blades but it's not hard-checked and held up,
just sheds some speed there.
