What's your Cammed LS1 M6 idle at ? I'm just curious, what's does your cammed ls1 idle good at after it was tuned? Let me also know what size cam you have and it's LSA. Mine was set to 950rpm by my tuner, and my cam is a 227/231 111+2 lsa with TPiS 90 intake, 66cc AFR 205's, LT headers, an stock 3.42 rear gears. I would love to be able to at least drop it to 850rpm! |
a little over 1100rpm.......... |
What size cam do you have, what lsa is it on? |

230/232 .613/.598 110LSA idles at 950. I tried to drop it, but it created other idling issues for me, specifically when coming to a stop. |
tr224 112lsa 900rpm 230/230 117lsa 900rpm 230/230 115+2 900 l92 block 379ci, ls6 intake 5.3 heads stage 2.5 Just tried 750rpm and 800 rpm. 750 brings in a very slight cam lope, and 800 is just down right quiet. I think I'll keep 800rpm since it has a nice bass tone to it. |
CC 228/232 .600/.601 111LSA. Cold idle 1100RPMs. Hot idle 950. |
218/228 110LSA, 750 rpms running temp. Just tuned one this weekend 228/228 112LSA, sounded best at 850 running temp so left it there. |
236 238 112 lsa......right around 800 rpms |
EPS cam 222/226 LSA 113 with stock 243 heads, idle set at 700 rpm. No bucks, no surges and AFR is perfect. |
Cool, keep them coming, the more reply's the better! |

230/230 .613/.591 111+2 LSA idles set at 800 or 850, cant remember exactly |
Bullet 226/230 114lsa .600/.600 set at 750, has problems coming to stop... need to up it to 850 |
238/242 - 950 rpm |
875 rpm.... EPS 234/236 .612”/.612” 112LSA +4. Works perfect with my setup. |
My personal C5 is a stock cube LS1 with a 238/247 on a 114 and it idles perfect at 850rpm. There is no reason a cam as small as the OP has should have to idle at 950rpm. |
