Default Holley hp efi enough for TT 5.3

What are your thoughts on the HP kit vs the dominator. I'm trying to decide what to purchase and can't decide if I actually need to step up to the dominator. Cars a 6sp with all aftermarket gauges and so on.

What is your horsepower goal?

Goals/uses of your vehicle? ie, street use or drag only. ect..

Street with occasional drag 99.9% street. 500-600rwhp nothing to extreme. It's a 1991 z28 that did have a ls3 in it but I want to change it up

I would go with the Dominator since you are going TT it has the ability to have turbo boost control, and so many more inputs that you might need later.
If you are running electric aftermarket gauges you can wire them into one of the inputs on the Dominator and record them in the log also.

It will also run the DBW TB if needed.

The hp and domm will log all of the sensors that the harness has connectors for. It also has 4 inputs and 4 outputs.

The hp will work for you but is limited if you want to start adding things.

I have the hp setup in my old truck, was running a tt 5.3 and just stepped up to a 6L with the twins, for me it does plenty of stuff, it will control your electric fans and 2 fuel pumps and all the needed stuff, the hp will still do boost control and water/meth and nitrous aswell, (although at this point you would be running out of inputs and outputs), id say for a mostly street driven car the hp is fine. If money was no object then yes i would buy the dominator.

Dominator.

Even though u have a 6spd now if the Turbo bug bites, ull will more then likely want to go auto and the HP cant control a transmission.

IMO the dominator is worth the extra $ if u can afford it.

Just like everyone else says, go dominator. Thats what I ended up getting. It just has too much to not shell out the extra money for it.

As stated above, IF there is any possibility that you will need more I/O, dual wide bands, trans control, DBW TB, and the budget allows, get the Dominator. The HP will "get you by", however the Dominator will handle more tasks...Another thing to toss around is the boost control. If you do a preferred two solenoid application, that will burn/use two outputs (solenoids), and one input (dome pressure sensor).
