Default best OE ECU for standalone/tuning

Hi

im swapping a lq4 into a 2gen rx7 and was trying to figure out what would be the best ecu to use for the swap and subsequently tune later (HP tuners). i've heard alittle bit about 00-02 ls1 fbody ecus are one of the favorites for using with HP tuners.

the setup in the car is:
lq4 long block
ls7 cam
36lb injectors
pro china intake manifold w/ 85mm tb
t56

Basically i just need the ecu to run the engine and possibly the t56 shift lockout stuff. fuel system and gauges are going to standalone on their own circuits

thanks

the car is also not emissions compliant, so egr control is not needed.

no one? i was thinking today a c5 z06 might be closer to this setup (timing and fuel delivery settings) to get it up and running around before i have time to tune it.

Get harness and pcm for a 00-02 F-body either auto or stick
SVC#12270411 PCM and it will be the most flexible for your application and will also provide for pcm control of high and low speed cooling fan relays
