Default A/C won't stay on, LS1 with Sanden 508

The LS1 is installed in an '82 Corvette, and It's wired like an '04 Express van with a high pressure switch and a low pressure switch. When the PCM receives the A/C request it engages the compressor and then shuts it off after a few seconds. There are apparently several types of A/C modules that can be loaded into the PCM and my tuner loaded the "type 3" into mine. I've also tried the type 2 and the type 4 and neither of them would engage the A/C compressor. Do any of you have any knowledge of the different types of A/C modules that can be loaded into the 411 PCM and their corresponding wiring diagrams?

I think on a platform like this, you want to forget about
the PCM altogether (although this might mess with the
ability to hold steady idle across clutch events). What is
wrong with the 'Vette climate control working old school,
relays and all, and use the high and/or low pressure switches
as appropriate? And maybe cobble up an air bleed with a
12V valve, to make up the drag torque air like we used to
do with kicker solenoids on the carb primary lever (or, maybe
you let the PCM -think- it's in charge, just so it can do the
drag torque -> idle airflow activity - may have to kill some
funky A/C codes to get that all not to panic, though)?

I've been experimenting with this since my post, my '82 had a wiring issue that was complicating things. I got it working with type 2 using the 2002 Camaro wiring diagram, but I'm still shooting for using the type 3 which uses high and low pressure switches. I've got a PCM coming that's loaded with this module and will try it using either the Silverado or the Express Van wiring diagram, I'm sure one of them will work. Thanks for your reply, I know this is kind of esoteric problem.
