Hooked up HP tuners to do a scan, now corvette has gone haywire
Hey guys, my brother just picked up a 2004 C5 with bolt-ons and we hooked up my Hp tuners to it to only scan the PCM. We did not flash it with a new file or alter the stock file at all. Now, the car won't idle right, and it constantly says door ajar, the gauges wouldn't light up, the oil pressure read zero, tachometer read zero, heads up display won't come on, what in the world could have happened??

No crap. I read a guys tune on his 02 coupe to see if it had been modified. While it was reading the file, he started pushing the DIC buttons.
Once it finished, the gauges all quit, and no dash lights.
But it ran fine.
Fortunately, I simply read it again, doors closed, and told him not to touch anything!
Worked fine after that.
On my own C5, I turn the ign in, wait for the car to quit doubg all it's **** before downloading a tune. Once it's done, I watch the dash until the seatbelt light flashes on then off. Then I turn the key off.
I'm sure the BCM is the root of all evil cause it goes through a series of checks....
