Default HP tuners question re: A4, new rear gear and P1870

A local guy here has a 2000 and just put in a 3.15 in place of his 2.73. He is getting this P1870 code and i was going to help him out. problem is ive only played w/ m6s and never even looked at the a4 stuff. What do i need to configure for him to remove this error? I know its comparing RPMS of input and output shafts. I think i need to play w/ the TCC slippage paramaters??
Thanks
dave
