Default Tuned out Vats no luck

Ok I have a weird issue with my Trans Am. The car has the fuel being cut at times. It will eventually start up and run fine. Though sometimes I kill the battery before it starts. The starter is working though and has never been disabled. From what i have researched since my starter is not engaged that tuning out the Vats would work for me. It only cuts the signal from tge BCM to the ECU to not cut fuel right? Well the car only starts when it wants too. I am lost. I have not done the resistor bypass yet because I am afraid it is a waste of time. Has anyone had a similar situation as to this one? And is it possible the BCM is acting like this? Thanks again

Have you checked to see if you have injector pulses?
If VATS is enabling the motor should still start but cut off after a few seconds.
Did you check your fuel pressure?
Did you check for spark?
