Default Wideband O2 VE Tuning Issue

Hello,

I'm having a issue with Hp Tuners and I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but if anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm trying to tune my VE with my wideband using the input from the LC-2 through pin 55 (egr input) using the write up on another forum. Everything seems to be working perfectly however when I copy my AFR Error % to my VE table, save, reflash, then log data again the #s are getting further away from 0.

I'm trying to keep it short and sweet but I can give any additional information needed.

Here is the tuning guide I am using.

And here is the post on adding the wideband to ac.

Use your LTFT's instead and see if it gets you closer to 0. Are you clearing fuel trims after every change?

After you flash the tune, you need to drive it around about 20 minutes if you are doing this on the street. You will be chasing your tail forever if you flash it and then immediately log a drive.
Or go ahead and log it immediately, but just watch the histogram as you drive around. After about 15 minutes, you will see the numbers start to move back toward 0.
I'm using STFT's as they show what's happening "right now".

To add some clarity....

After flashing a VE change you need to clear your fuel trims with VCM controls. Your ltft learning should be set to an appropriate ECT, so that it is not trying to learn when the engine is cold. Should be 176 degrees or so.

You don't need to drive around for 15 mins. You just need to clear trims and make sure your engine is in normal operating range for temperature.

Thank you. I was not reseting trims. I will try that today and update you with the results.

If your tuning with a wb02 your trims should be off (open loop)

Ok its not the trims. I tried to post last night but it disappeared.

The problem is if I look at the histograms and for example it shows @2400rpm 90kpa is 14.23 but the AFR Error % is -3.06. It should be +3.06 correct?

Set your cell counts higher as well so you get better average data on your trims
