Default 2004 Van - No crank, no fuel pump prime...sometimes...

2004 Van with 6.0

What's up:
Newly installed reman'ed engine.
Drove fine for a few thousand miles after install.
Parked and sat for about 6 months.
I hop in and start it to move it and let it warm up, running decent, have to give it a little throttle input to stay running at first. Turn it off to go take a leak. Come right back out and won't crank or start. Been screwing with it ever since.

What I know:
New battery. Plenty of juice.
Starter and connections are good. I can power starter relay manually and it'll spin every time.
Start and fuel pump relays are good.
Every fuse I know of is good.
No security lights stay on. Just the usual flash at initial Ign On
If I let it sit for about 30 minutes I can go ignition On, hear fuel pump prime, go to crank and it will engage starter for about a 1/4 engine revolution then stop. After that it won't prime fuel pump or engage starter.
Gauge cluster seems to be reacting and displaying as it's supposed to.
I can hook up HPTuners after letting it sit for 30 minutes, turn to Ign On, and connect to the ECM. I can then manipulate fuel pump to run and stop at will. As soon as I go to start and it primes and cranks 1/4 revolution and stops, I loose connection to ECM and no amount of switching off and on or plugging in or out will regain connection. Until...I let it set for 30 minutes or so again.

Go!

And thanks in advance.

Ignition switch is good. Replaced with new. No change.

This ended up being the ground on the rear of the driver's side head. Oily/greasy and was put in with the wrong bolt which left it ever so slightly loose even when bottomed out tight.
