Heads/cam dynotune question

Just installed my 799 heads on the ws6. Headers and gm hotcam. Runs a lil rough. But im not sure if my o2s are working very well or at all. I had to rewire them to the new o2s for the headers. When i go in for a dyno tune, will they still be able to tune it correctly?

If the O2's are working there should be no issues

I have to drive 2 hrs to the tuner and i dnt want to be told that it cnt be tuned because of an o2 issue, and drive back with nothing accomplished. I have it wired up with no o2 codes..yet

I used the top diagram to rewire it. So when i go for a tune, they will just tune out the rears?

The rears will not effect the tune. Most are tuned out but if you have cats, it is sometimes possible to leave the rears with no SEL. There are many questions that come into play when you are talking about front 02's. They can be bad or things such as vacuum leaks, stuck injectors, etc. that can make them appear bad. In this instance you may want to check out all you can before your journey or set it up for your tuner to repair if needed. Some longer tail corvette 02's may be your best bet.

thanks, I will hook my scanner up and see what the voltage is doing, that is, if it the o2s are even working correctly. so if my rears are just tied up, not being used under the car (as of now untuned), they shouldnt read any voltage while i watch the data on the scanner?

So...seems that my bank 2, 1st sensor isnt even plugged in or wired correctly? Picture is while idling

It could be from several things. I would turn the key on and get under there with a meter and check for 5v reference on both of the front O2's. You can also check for the 12v heater circuit. They will be hot to the touch if the heater is working.

will do.
looks kind of like I plugged the 'second bank, first sensor', into the second o2 harness lol

rewired my o2s and got a reading from .100-.900 on bank 1 sensor 1, and bank 2 sensor 1

since the rears are unplugged because of cats being off, they read at .450
is that a normal thing for it to read?

Why don't you call your tuner?

Everything should be tuned using a wideband. If it isn't, get a new tuner. The tuner might need to make some changes to o2 settings to make closed loop function properly. That's all they should be doing with the stock o2s.

its never been tuned yet. I was just seeing if it was normal for unplugged o2 sensor to be sitting at .450

Normal. That is the bias voltage provided by the PCM.

If you find a good tuner, they won't rely on your sensors. Any random jackass can show up with any number of problems that is not the tuner's fault. This being the case, they would probably rather rely on their own tailpipe sniffer.
