2000 Z28 with 1998 motor trans wiring harness and ecm
I swapped a 1998 motor, tranny, harness, and pcm into a 2000 Z28 convertible. Having problems with ABS INOP(abs unit came out of the 1998 also, it was non TC and 2000 is TC) I can't even bleed the brakes, I've been told the abs module needs to be coded to the car, is this correct?
Other problems are the gauge cluster isn't working, I noticed the only difference is that there was an extra connector on the 1998 harness that goes into the passenger kick panel area.
What needs to be done? I'm not new to turning wrenches as I'm a mobile mechanic I'm just not familiar with the intricacies of this kind of swap. THANKS IN ADVANCE

you'd be better of switching to a 99+ harness and ecu with motor. I know its sound like dick advice but I haven't found a threat that recommends using the 98 harness in a 99+ car. I have a 98 and repinned a 99+ ecu and that was tiresome.
