Tech II Database Connection Failed

Received Chinese Tech II with all the options. TIS2000 software loaded which was included. Able to communicate fine with the vehicle and laptop. When trying to upload the configuration file to the Tech II so I can reprogram the ECU I receive an error, "E37: Database connection failed!".

According the Vertronix Tech II instructions I am doing the procedure correctly. Hardware appears to be working fine since I am able to read information from the vehicle and made a change to the BCM. Laptop connection on COM1, the Tech II gets commands from the laptop via TIS2000.

Did I get a bum copy of the TIS2000 software? Suggestions?

hi did you ever find the solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem. If you have an answer I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
