Ok so I'm attempt to make this truck look as stock as possible I've decided I did not want anymore than an airaid tube and stock airbox.
I'm running an 87mm throttle body currently with plans to step up to bigger so I feelt that the maf was my only intake restriction.

So I found this airbox at the junkyard with a maf it's a 4in inside diameter. So plenty of flow for sure. My question is from a tuning standpoint is this going to work??

Box is from a 04.5-05 duramax

The MAF would have to be able to "talk" with the LS engine computer. You might be able to do that in the tune.
