Is there a difference?

I recently purchased an online tune from someone the pcm came out of a F body.

From my understanding they are not the same operating system. While attempting to install the pcm and do the relearn I keep getting warnings flashing across the screen.

My old pcm only has the 1635 code still works and has none of these codes when i switch back to it.

If its a 411 pcm you can flash a 1999-2002 f body or 1999-2002 corvette tune in the pcm. Both can have the same OS number but the tunes are different.

So why would I be having issues assuming the operating system is correct?

Also it is going into a 98 corvette.

If they did not flash a 98 corvette tune into the pcm then it will not work. A 98 camaro and 98 corvette tune have the same OS but different tunes. Without you posting the tune out the pcm no one but the person who flashed the pcm is going to know what they did.

He said he flashed an f body tune. Guessing that's probably the issue.

You can not run a 98 fbody tune in a 98 corvette, wont work.
