Default T56 tuning

Installed a t56 from a gto in my Silverado. Pretty much copied 2000 manual Camaro transmission tables. Kept my engine tables the same. Only real issue I have is first gear is almost unusable coasting up to a stop light and if I put it in neutral and apply the brake my rpms drop to almost stalling out the engine. Do I need to up my idle rpms or something else to keep it from dying?

You need to do a segment swap, not just copy and paste.

Just segment swap the transmission part? From what I have researched you also need to remove some timing as it doesn’t take as much unlike an auto where you have more for the bucking of the torque converter.

You will need to adjust the engine tune also but you need to do a segment swap for the transmission so the pcm knows its a manual. Just copying and pasting the pcm still thinks its a auto.

Ok I will do a segment swap and see how it goes and log some data. Any suggestions channels needed for a manual transmission since I removed all my auto stuff.

You log the same channels just minus the auto trans items.

I'm just finishing up the lsx swap in my '70 C-10. It was an LQ4 that had a 4L80 after it. Now its a built stroker with a T-56 behind it. When we did the initial pcm hack and adjustments on the dyno (using HP Tuners), I remember switching the transmission setting from auto to manual but don't remember doing anything else. That was with the engine on the dyno. Now the truck is ready to go back for a final tune on the chassis dyno. What else should be changed for the T56? My builder is a race shop and is way more familiar with the bosch pcms. I'm trying to do some learning on my own to help understand how all the controls work

Thanks
