Whats the secret to unlocking 2017+ gm tcm 8/10 speed?
 

Anyone know what's all involved? you have to send in your tcm to "unlock" after spending so much on software and boxes. This is why we buy the stuff so we avoid having to "send" stuff in. Big inconvenience. Not to mention waste time waiting around

Yeah, for 2017+ you need to pull it and send it in for the unlock service because the newer box needs to be modified in person to allow access through the OBDII port with the enhanced security from GM. Your other option is to leave it alone and not tune it, pick one.

I have EFI LIVE with Mike Carnahan at VengeancePCM and from what I'm seeing you have to buy($100?) a unlock code for 2017+ no sending anything in, ALSO Mike IS one of the best tuners in the country.

That's great. I'll save them to my bookmarks. I've done some reading and see a couple of shops that offer unlocking without sending in anything.

EFI Live doesn't support the 2017+ T87A at all, the unlock code service they have is for the E92A.
