LS3 tripping idle control system rpm
Greetings,
I have a 6.2L LS3 that keeps tripping the "idle control system rpm - higher than expected" P0507 OBDII code. The vehicle is a local motors rally fighter so it is a bit of a unique car and not alot of information out there. I believe the motor is a 2012. The system has been relearned to try to set the idle rpm appropriately, a smoke test has been conducted to rule out a vacuum leak, and the throttle body has been replaced. The check engine light with this code seems to always come on when the vehicle is in drive going down the road around 40-50 mph which is surprising to me given that this is an idle code. Any thoughts?
Many thanks in advance.

What is the whole setup? Make/model, trans, gearing, engine mods, etc. Also, why change the throttle body? Sensors themselves maybe...

I believe the LS3 in my Rally Fighter is what would have gone into a 2012 SS Camaro. The transmission is a turbo 400 3 speed auto. Gears are 4:11. Changing the throttle body was based on advice from the Rally Fighter folks.

The TB was what?, replaced by what?. And is it still drive by wire? (the only way a Gen IV computer works...}

The throttle body was originally and was simply replaced by a standard GM throttle body that would have gone in a 2012 camaro SS. Not sure if it is drive by wire.

You don't KNOW YOUR TB is cable or wire?!?!? What DO you know about YOUR engine?
