LS7 Connect Cruise kits OBDII compliant? Hey all, I have installed an LS7 Crate with connect and Cruise GM ECM, wiring, etc that has what appears to be an OBD2 port. Does anyone know if this port is indeed OBD2 ? My reader works on other cars including an LS2 factory Corvette. Yet it does not seem to talk to the LS7 Crate Engine with connect and cruise wiring kit. Thanks in advance . .. . . Scott |
It is an OBII port but the connect and cruise usually have a messed up checksum and no vin which messes with some code readers. The tune can be edited with tuning software like hp tuners or efi live. |
OK, thank you! I was hoping to read basic values from the port like oil pressure, engine temp, etc. Do you have any suggestions as to any readers that would allow this with the lack of vin and checksum? My intent was to use the port to feed a WiFi dongle which in turn feeds an IPAD where I can display basic guages and values. I would use this until I get the rest of my guages converted and installed. I am open to suggestions! Your assistance is greatly appreciated! Scott |
We can fix the checksum and the vin and that should make it just like a factory ecm then. |

There is no sensor plug for it on the GMPP ECU and harness kits. Andrew |
