P0200 Injector Open Loop - I'm stuck! The good news is my car starts, runs, just needs a tune. My challenge being an Open loop circuit P0200 code when I have replaced all injectors, now have Noid light tested all injector circuits with everything checking out fine. I have HP Tuners Pro latest 4x version, have data logged a couple runs only to find no injector information. I've read about the P0200 Open Loop Circuit issue being reported on "Big Cam" LS1 Applications. Does anyone have any experience in dealing with this issue and over riding it in HP Tuners. I have found an over ride using HP Tuners school, but for some reason my pro version does not reflect the MISFIRE tab under Engine Diagnostics.... Any advice, or suggestions, thanks..... |
Here's a quick update: I went back and tested circuit number 8 a second time, NOID light failed! Voltage tested 12 volts - so now looking into the drivers.... |
any update? can you list steps on looking into the drivers? |

YESTERDAY: 1) Found PCM to be corroded - cleaned up checked wiring and started the car - Car Runs, but same Injector OPEN Loop problem. Good ole P0200. 2) Replaced PCM with new/used (out of a 2001 Tahoe, matching harnesses). Write Entire'd - car started, sounded better but when I hooked up the scanner: Injector Open Loop again,. Plan for today after work: Meter and DIOD light test again. Meter Audible test the driver wire to test for continuity. Find the Inj #8 PIN at the PCM (if possible) Run a long wire, Alligator clip and check status of the non power wire . This is stuff I have not done before, so there's nothing like the first time!!!! . |
It's ALIVE! NOID light tested and found #8 INJ Plug Control wire damaged - Replaced injector plug Back & Forth with Inj #6 connection. issue found in pcm connection - corrosion cleaned. No codes to this point and Fuel System states "Open Not ready". which I'm hopeful will not turn south on me. Get this car legal and back on the road after 7 long years..... |
Hopefully everything works out! |
