Are there any guys who can delete VATS in SoCal?!
I’ve been told there are tons of guys who help out people trying to delete VATS who don’t expect a fortune to do it. I’ve called a couple of local shops and their pricing just to delete VATS is unreal.
i could do it my self but I’m really not looking to buy another tuner cable and software I’m just going to use once or twice and leave in a drawer for the rest of its life.
Im just trying to delete VATS off my 2006 Tahoe 5.3 PCM so I can run it on a stand before I throw it in my C10.
So is there anyone local to the OC area in SoCal that can help with VATS delete that doesn’t want an arm and a leg to do it?
Any help is appreciated!

Call Lance Nist at Pantera EFI in Santa Ana. Not sure he can do it, but should know who can. He is well known on these forums and is very helpful. From New Zealand, so don't mind the cool accent.

Even if he charges you nothing for his direct skill and effort, you will still be out a hundred bucks for two HP Tuner credits to license the new operating system. I'm not sure of the cost for other tuning software capes but I'm guessing that none of them are free.

I can do it for only the cost of the credits for your PCM. In the San Fernando Valley.
But, if you're going in for $100 in credits, it makes sense to buy the MPVI2 from HP Tuners and have access to change anything and everything you like. If you don't have a laptop, you can find cheap ones on Amazon that will easily do the job. I bought a brand new Dell for $250. Between the laptop, HP Tuners, credits, and the wideband I installed, it's less than $1000. With some scrounging, you could get that under $600, I think.
