low idle after cam swap
Installed a ls1 in a 67 Chevelle. Painless flashed the computer. New cam from texas speed. Car won't idle. Have to keep foot on pedal to keep it running. Any help appreciated.

Check IAC (Idle Air Control) function. It's a valve on the throttle body that meters idle air.

Try adjusting your throttle blade. Open it some more to allow more air into it. I usually do this with the engine running, and allow the RPM to climb as I adjust, whereas you'll just have to open it some more in the first place. Then I shut the engine down, and reset the TPS and IAC. To reset: unplug both sensors, turn key to on position for 5 seconds, key off, plug back in. Heads up for that, it will throw a code on you for doing this. Reset it with the scanner or reader, if you have one. Repeat this as necessary, it's clearly not getting the air it needs since the "throttle" is technically just a choke.
