So for those of you that have run a straightener, were you able to just shove it down the intake tube and have it stay in place? My concern is that there is no easy way of retaining the straightener. I worry that with high airflow the straightener may get pulled down the intake tract.

My only thought would be to drill some self tapping screws through the intake tube and seal them with RTV.

Jb weld it in place is the best way.

Mine just came in today exactly what I was thinking of doing. It fits nice and snug in the 100 mm tub just a few gaps here an there.

I wouldnt worry about it getting sucked into the intake track it fits pretty snug as it is a little epoxy and it aint going anywhere.

Definitely would epoxy/JB weld. It'll also help with the fins up against the pipe from breaking off and going in the motor. I wouldn't rely on just a press fit.

I drilled a couple holes in front and behind the honey comb. Installed some long bolts and jb welded them in. The bolts threaded portion holdes the honey comb in place.

They help alot with the ls3 and ls7 card style mafs. **** the 85mm mafs had honey combs from the factory. There was a reason gm used them!!

I just googled that, I had no idea GM was using the honeycomb from the factory.... Guess my idea wasn't as original as I thought.
