out of idea's 1 Attachment(s) finished up tuning the VE, BRAF, and idle did all of this while in SD. I followed Chopperdoc youtube videos. I switched back to MAF LTFT,STFT and had a issue with cold start as well as hanging idle while driving. I seem to have fixed the cold start issue by rising the BRAF g/s. as for the hanging idle I have had no such luck. I have lower the idle cracker by 60% across the board which may have helped but it still hangs around 1-1300. I have lowered timing under idle spark advance-drive table I also raised the follower-decay-gear I believe by 10-20% across the board. I was hoping this would cause the IAC to react faster to lower... no such luck. The IAC count is a bit high at the RPM it hangs at but I wasn't sure if that is caused by the high idle OR causing the high idle. at idle the counts are quite low. could the MAF cause the issue's? I've pretty much exhausted my researching what am I over looking? |

I am on my work computer so I can't see your logs. However, your head is in the right place for fixing a return to idle issue. Focus on the spark tables for fixing hangs as typically that is going to fix it faster than air will, as it is far more responsive than the IAC motor. I'll try and look later today, but lately I've been super busy with other things so no promises. If this issue is occurring while driving, then it may be on your main tables, as you are probably above the speed for idle spark selection. MAF can also be tricky with extensive airflow changes/cam, etc. Hopefully that helps a little and gives you some more ideas. |
