HP Tuners + Stock LS1 MAF or LS6 MAF? OK.. so I have HP Tuners on the way, and I have people telling me to go back to the stock 78mm MAF, and I have other people telling me to yank the resistor off of my 85mm MAF so that it's an LS6 MAF, then modity the MAF tables using HPT. What do all of you think???? |
I'd just go back to stock... really if you think about it it's just more hastle than it's worth 78mm opening on the lid, 78mm opening on the TB (or is it 75?) ... you can stick a bigger piece between the two but going 78 to 85 to 78 doesn't sound like it'll work too good .. so easier to just use the stocker ... people making sick power still run stock with the screen even |
Unless your making some really high HP, stick with the stock MAF. Bigger doesn't always mean better, usually means more headaches. |
I would do whatever made me the most power. But...your car would probably run better with the stock MAF. |
Stock seems to be the recomendation by a landslide heh. |
In order of minimum agony: 1st place: stock, descreened 2nd place - 85mm Delphi, descreened, no resistor 3rd place - a do-it-yourself vasectomy with a rusty steak knife 4th place - aftermarket MAF |
